Strobe-lit hallway, the carpet is stained,
The lock is a joke, the security is feigned!
We’re huddled in darkness, the silence is thick,
Watching the handle, the tension is sick!
Breath held in rigor, eyes fixed on the grain,
Outside the frame, there’s a thirst for the vein!
Stalking the threshold!
Echoing shadows, the predator’s breath!
A game of survival, a dance with the death!
He’s turning the knob, testing the latch,
We’re cornered in rot, waiting for the match!
watching! Waiting! Breathless!
Hours dragging, the fluorescent hum,
Paranoia rising, the senses are numb!
Footsteps in rhythm, a cadence of steel,
Testing the integrity, is this even real?
Pacing the floorboards, we’re trapped in the room,
Waiting for impact, a singular doom!
The hinges are groaning, the structure is weak!
The wood starts to splinter, the metal is bleak!
He’s pushing! He’s forcing! The barricade fails!
Driven by madness, a murder of veils!
The splinters are flying, the frame is a mess!
No place to hide from this violent ingress!
The barrier yields to the force of the hunt!
He’s inside! He’s inside!
